Shannon Hopkins - Shamanic Practitioner in Walnut Creek

I build bridges between the seen and the unseen worlds.

The doors of perception were opened for me in 1998 when I took my first shamanic journey workshop. I was awakened into a new awareness and the line between the visible and invisible worlds dissolved and I was able to see into a new dimension. I had always been curious about my knowing that more existed than what I could see, but now I had found the access to this realm. I knew instinctively that I had found something that I had been searching for and that this was what I wanted to do with my life.

The word shaman means "one who can see between the worlds". In shamanic practice we are guided into a trance state or an altered reality in order to see beyond what we normally see. I do not call myself a shaman. I am a guide who uses shamanic guidance and drumming to bring others into connection with an expanded awareness, the divine presence, and with their own inner voice. In this expanded space we can see the connection of all of life and begin to find our part in it. We are forever changed.

I continued to study shamanic healing, hands-on energy work, intuitive studies, bodywork, and massage. I have worked with many wonderful teachers including Ann Fuller, Lori Del Mar, and Mary Swanson. Previously I graduated from UC San Diego in English Literature and Spanish Studies.

I have had a private practice doing one-on-one shamanic healing sessions that include shamanic practice, hands-on energy work, intuitive healing, and bodywork for 20 years. I began teaching shamanic journey shortly after learning it myself because I was so intuitively drawn to the practice and have been leading groups ranging from corporate events to small custom workshops, to women's circles and baby welcoming blessing ceremonies.

I live in Walnut Creek, CA with my builder craftsman husband and our two young boys. I love to follow the creative muse, create beautiful gardens, make things, hike, read historical fantasy novels, get out to wild nature where my spirit can soar, make altars everywhere, do yoga, snowboard, and play and laugh as much as possible.
